Dex Share Followers Setup Guide

Dexcom Share Follower allows caregivers, family members, or healthcare providers to remotely monitor a Dexcom CGM user’s glucose data in real time via the Dexcom Follow app or website.
Enable Dexcom Share on the Primary User’s Device
Open the Dexcom G6/G7 app
If you have not already installed it, Click Here
Go to Settings → Share.
Tap "Add Follower" and enter the follower’s email address.
Choose permissions:
View Only: Can see glucose data.
Manage Alerts: Can adjust high/low alerts (if allowed).
Follower Accepts the Invitation
The follower receives an email with a "View Glucose Data" link.
They must: Or you must if you want to follow yourself!
Download the Dexcom Follow app (Android). If you do not already have it
installed, Click Here
Log in with the same email used in the invite.
Start Monitoring
Followers or your self can now see:
Real-time glucose values
Trends (arrows)
Alerts (if enabled)
Accessible via:
Dexcom Follow app
Dexcom Clarity Website (for reports)

Invite Not Received?
<Check spam/junk folder.
<Resend invite from the Dexcom app → Share.
"Connection Failed" Error?
Ensure the primary user’s phone has internet (Share requires Wi-Fi/cellular).
Delay in Data?
Dexcom Share updates every 5 minutes (not real-time).
Advanced Options
Multiple Followers: Add up to 10 people.
Nightscout Integration: Forward Dexcom data to Nightscout for more customization.
